Job Description:
Behavior Technician
Do you want to help children with Autism Spectrum Disorder?
Come and grow with Positive Behavior Consulting! We are currently seeking full-time and part-time Behavior Technicians to work with Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Positive Behavior Consulting has a comprehensive training program to develop individuals with little to no experience. We are a growing practice based out of Columbus, OH and we are expanding our business rapidly. Come help us make a Positive Impact on the lives of children with Different Abilities and their families.
Professional Development
Interested in becoming a Registered Behavior Technician? We provide training for employees to receive certification! We also have the ability to supervise candidates for their BCBA! Additional training will cover topics of Applied Behavior Analysis, Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as Professional Development.
Qualifications

Must be able to create a fun environment for Children!

Have a minimum of a high school diploma or national equivalent

Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or Special Education, preferred

Must show aptitude in capturing data on mobile devices
-
Successfully complete a criminal background check at time of application
-
Have, or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification

Must be willing to complete at least 20 hours of classroom training in Applied Behavior Analysis techniques. Ten hours must be completed before staff begins working directly with clients and the remaining 10 must be completed within 60 days of starting to work directly with clients.

Must be at least 18 years old
Responsibilities

Implement treatment protocols pertaining to behavior plans

Collect and summarize data on mobile devices

Implement feedback delivered during supervision sessions

Satisfactorily pass treatment integrity checks and ongoing evaluations

Attend monthly client meetings and supplementary trainings
-
Demonstrate professional communication with co-workers and client families

Create a Positive learning experience for our clients and their families!
Critical Functions (may include but are not limited to)
-
Be able to lift 25-50 pounds
-
Be able to run short distances, sit on the floor, bend down, squat, and kneel
-
Must have access to own vehicle for transportation to clients’ homes or other locations throughout the area of service
